In the party mood with International guests
Under sunny skies 370 visitors gathered at the courtyard of the Ulm location for the company-wide summer party. The highlights of this year’s party: the traditional manning of the grill by members of management as a way of thanking the employees for their daily commitment, an art contest for the kids followed by a sale of the pictures for a good cause, and a hat fashion show, in memory of how it all began
Bienvenue and welcome to Ulm
For the first time Mayser welcomed the guests with both “Willkommen” and “Bienvenue” – Mayser employees from France accepted the invitation to the summer party this year to become acquainted with the Ulm location and their fellow employees at both German locations. Not only different nationalities, but also different generations, celebrated together: The active employees were joined by Mayser retirees and the company’s future apprentices, who will start their training at Mayser in September. Together they enjoyed the party under the theme of the “hat” – in memory of the fact that the company was founded as the hat manufacturing company “Hutmacherey Mayser”.
Activities for the entire family
Many of the guests arrived at the party wearing hats, and all had the opportunity to buy a new head covering – made by Mayser. The sun was therefore not a hindrance to enjoying the celebration. The theme was enhanced by a hat fashion show.
In addition to delicious food, a superlative atmosphere, and good conversation, diverse activities were offered for the entertainment of the employees and their families. The agenda included an extra special event for children. In the spirit of the popular search for “Mayser supertalent” in the past, this year an 8-year-old Michael Jackson performed the moonwalk to the enthusiasm of the visitors.
Another popular event was the annual art contest. The youngsters let their creativity flow onto the canvases provided – and for a good cause: The proceeds from the auctioned paintings will go to Ulm’s aid association for children suffering from leukaemia and cancer. Last summer the event brought in 1,000 euros, and this year the association can look forward to a donation of 1,660 euros!
At temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius the ice chest provided for cool refreshment throughout the party. And the host also succeeded in keeping a cool head, while entertaining the visitors with his wit and charm. Mayser thanks everyone who contributed to this successful day!
