Mayser in demand as safety technology expert
Stäubli in Bayreuth offers technologies for specific robot solutions. Mayser contributed its lecture "Productive with safety" to an in-house event of the company.
One of the most important cobot subjects since the beginning of industrial robotics has been the question: "Can a safe robot be productive?" Mayser has accepted this challenge and given a lecture on this subject at this year's Robotics congress in Hanover. Stäubli booked this presentation for its own in-house event "Human-robot collaboration" on July 5, 2017.
Lecturer Matthias Schwerthalter, Project Manager in the division of collision protection systems, presented solutions that allow robots to perform in collaboration as long as possible without reduced speed. He presented visitors Ultrasonic safety for this. Attendees included manufacturers and mechanical engineers as well as users of production and automation systems.
The lecture was very well received. Specific applications, for which Ultrasonic safety would come into question, were already discussed immediately after the lecture.
