Mayser donates proceeds from Christmas raffle to association for support to children with cancer.
Shortly before Christmas, in behalf of the staff in Ulm, Works Council Chairperson Carla Herzberg and Winfreid Wanka, Member of the Executive Board, presented a donation check to the chairperson of the Förderkreis für tumor- und leukämiekranke Kinder Ulm e.V. (Association for support to children with cancer and leukaemia).
“We are committed to helping children who suffer from cancer to find some joy in life, and to give them a reason to smile,” explains Carla Herzberg. That is why the employees organised – for the fifth year in a row – a Christmas raffle with attractive prizes, which this year ranged from a ball-point pen to an iPhone 8.
The raffle earned a clear profit of 2,300 euros, which the Management rounded up to 3,000 euros. The donation benefits the houses provided by the association as a temporary home for parents and their sick children while undergoing the often lengthy treatments.
