Honours for students with top achievements and volunteer commitment
The German stipend was awarded to 16 students of the Neu-Ulm University on 15 November in the Vöhlinschloss Castle. Mayser supports the stipend with a monthly sum of 300 euros.
Since 2014 Mayser has supported the German stipend, which is awarded to students for outstanding academic achievements and volunteer commitment. Now support has been provided for the first time to students of the Neu-Ulm University. The stipend financed by Mayser was awarded to a student of Business Intelligence and Business Analytics. Mayser was represented at the award ceremony by Stefan Groer, Director of HR at the Ulm location.
Festive stipend award ceremony
After an informal champagne reception in the historic Vöhlinschloss Castle, the Vice President of the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Julia Kormann, presented the certificates to the students and congratulated them on their achievement. Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to meet the sponsors and representatives of the university and talk about motivation, dreams and perspectives for the future.
Promotion of young talent in the region
“Not only in times of shortages of skilled personnel it is important to promote young talent regardless of their social origin”, says Winfried Wanka, Member of the Executive Board - HR & Legal Department. “Since the attractiveness of the Stuttgart and Munich metropolitan regions also affects our personnel situation, we at Mayser consider it necessary to look to the future and to support young talent and especially equal opportunities in our region, in the interest of sustainability. One way we do this is with the German stipend at the Neu-Ulm University.”
