After Paul Graule successfully completed his studies last fall, Mayser has continued the Deutschlandstipendium as sponsor for Thomas Blessing since March 2023. In April, HR Director Winfried Wanka and HR Business Partner Sandra Handerer personally welcomed the scholarship holder to the Ulm site. In addition to getting to know each other, he was given an insight into the company's history, products and markets.
The Deutschlandstipendium is a federal government program that benefits both students and companies. The scholarship holders receive important financial support during their studies, and for participating companies, in addition to the image gain as an employer in the region, the exchange with the universities and future specialists is also interesting.
The 22-year-old from Kirchdorf an der Iller is currently completing the fifth semester of his studies in business informatics at the Technical University of Ulm. Thomas Blessing has already acquired a broad practical basis in the field of computer science through various activities: In his part-time job at the 365 Academy in Erolzheim, which offers eLearning around Microsoft 365 applications, he takes care of system administration. Before moving to THU, he supported IT at the Hundegger company in Allgäu as a dual student. During the pandemic, he was involved in IT planning at the Ummendorf Vaccination Center, and in his free time he also takes care of IT issues at the fire department in his hometown.
Starting in the fall, Thomas Blessing will have an additional opportunity to get to know the day-to-day work in IT during his internship semester. He does not yet have any firm ideas about this, but the application phase will be coming up in the next few weeks. We wish Thomas every success for the coming semesters and are curious to see how his professional orientation will develop during his studies.
