Fun and socializing after hours
Finally time for longer conversations, to get to know the colleagues better and to talk about something other than work for a change – that was the purpose of the after-work event organised by the Mayser Works Council on 17 May in the “Barfüßer” brewery in Ulm. The first event of this type was the starting signal for a new team event format: Four times a year all employees will be able to celebrate the end of the workday in the company of their colleagues, at alternating locations.
The very cosy microbrewery located next to Ulm’s cathedral was just the right venue for the start-off of Mayser’s new after-work event series. Diverse colleagues from all departments got together to take part in lively conversations and to enjoy Bavarian and Swabian specialities in an informal atmosphere.
Getting to know new colleagues
The initiators of this new form of team development were the Mayser employees themselves. In a growing enterprise their primary aim was to provide an atmosphere that makes it faster and easier to get to know new colleagues, in order to strengthen the team spirit. The Works Council at the Ulm location welcomed the idea and organised the first get-together in May as the starting signal for a new series of events.
At Mayser we traditionally value a positive working atmosphere and consider motivated employees to be one of the company’s essential assets. Because motivation is the basis for developing individual creativity and innovative products for the automotive sector, mechanical engineering, automation and local public transport.
