"We are delighted about the active participation in this year’s summer party. It is wonderful that we can find the time to celebrate with each other despite the very busy order situation," said Winfried Wanka, Member of Management HR & Legal. About 300 guests could be entertained in the interior courtyard at Mayser. "We were very happy about the attendance of the colleagues from Lindenberg. It contributed an all-round harmonic get-together." To make this possible, management donated and organised a bus shuttle service.
Numerous additional actions and many helpers, whom Winfried Wanka thanked sincerely, made this day an event. "Without your efforts, such an event would not have been possible!" Management itself set a good example and fried bockwursts, steaks and vegetarian alternatives for the colleagues and their families. Other treats from the vegetarian cuisine – created by the works council – and the cake buffet for the afternoon coffee were as well received as the Prosecco bar. In the summery weather, the ice cream cart naturally was another popular spot – not only with the children.
The traditional talent competition “Mayser’s Got Talent” livened up the party and the faces. Eight-year old Gabriel happily accepted a € 50 City voucher for his convincing Gangnam style dance. All other participants – from singers to a Thai boxer all the way to the magicians – received a fruit and vegetable box as a participation prize. Works Council Chairwoman Carla Herzberg raved about the day: "That was a great Mayser family summer party!"
