Lindenberg and Ulm: A strong running team
In the 14th Einstein Marathon, Mayser employees from Lindenberg and Ulm displayed outstanding sportsmanship and team spirit. This year marked the 3rd time that Mayser sent a team to participate in the local event. The runners achieved a respectable result, with a total of 269 kilometres.
Family event from the very start
Early in the morning the running enthusiasts met at the Mayser premises to get into the mood for the sports event. The employees from Ulm and Lindenberg were accompanied by their partners, children and friends. To support our family owned company in the Einstein Marathon they had laced the running shoes for the Mayser team. The traditional walk to the starting line in shirts sponsored by Mayser gave them a boost of motivation.
Successful start-up on new route
Mayser was represented by at total of 29 runners in five disciplines. The (half) marathon runners followed a new route through Ulm and Neu-Ulm. As in the past, the spectators in Pfuhl showered the runners with applause, music and cheers of encouragement. From there the route led across the Schwal, past the Einstein fountain and the historic town hall. Around noon the walkers and the health and city runners met at the Gänsturm tower and completed their discipline without incident.
With a total of 269 kilometres, the runners from Mayser cut a good figure. And we can be assured that in 2019 Mayser will again send a strong team to participate in the 15th Einstein Marathon, for even more fun and sweating in their new shirts.
