Mayser at InnoTrans 2018 in Berlin

The Mayser booth was redesigned especially for the InnoTrans 2018 exhibit. With considerable success: The modern, spacious design drew positive feedback from customers and visitors to the trade fair. Deco LEDs – for example on the trade fair door and power step – discreetly but effectively enhanced the exhibits and the product presentations.

Visitors from new markets

Numerous visitors took time to visit the booth and talk to the Mayser team, which used the opportunity to intensify contacts and acquire new customers. An unusually large number of this year’s visitors came from countries that have not been especially important for Mayser in the past, including China, Korea, Japan and Indonesia, as well as India and the countries of Eastern Europe. This development shows the high worldwide demand for safety technology. As at many other trade fairs, the focus of interest among visitors to InnoTrans 2018 was on Mayser’s Non-Touch Detection System. Designed on the basis of a capacitive sensor, the system makes boarding and exiting buses safer. By detecting the change in the electric field, the movement of the door stops before it even comes into contact with the passenger.

Ulm’s trams are now equipped with Mayser technology

Mayser also demonstrated its expertise as a system supplier with the MHIS (Mayser-Hübner Intelligent Safety) exhibit. For many years Mayser has bundled its competence with HÜBNER, which specialises in rubber seal profiles, for the development and production of highly efficient door safety systems. A highlight of the trade fair outside of the Mayser booth was Ulm’s Siemens Avenio tram. Equipped with Mayser sensors, it will first be used on the new line 2 and will later replace other trams in Ulm. For Mayser, the outcome of InnoTrans 2018 was extremely positive. An impressive booth and a new local public transport video clip enhanced the presentation of Mayser’s portfolio and emphasised the company’s market and technology leadership.
