Mayser wishes the team of the Donau-Iller workshops lots of success
From July 12 to 16, the 6th Special Olympics State Games Bavaria 2017 are taking place in Hof an der Saale. Also participating is a team from the Ulm/Neu-Ulm region.
Mayser has been cooperating with the sheltered workshops Lebenshilfe Donau-Iller Werkstätten e.V. for many years. For instance, the workshops are always printing the company brochures reliably and on time. Inclusion is important to Mayser and the trainees of the company are also continuously in contact with handicapped people within the scope of the social project “Aufschnaufhaus”, which provides short-term care. Mayser was therefore happy to be able to support the Donau-Iller workshops team with a large grant for tracksuits.
In addition, the sports and team notion that is the behind “Special Olympics Germany” (SOD) is of great importance to Mayser. SOD is the German branch of the worldwide largest sports movement for people with mental and multiple handicaps officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Special Olympics are represented in 170 countries with nearly five million athletes. In Hof, around 1,400 athletes with mental handicaps are excepted to compete in the 13 summer sports badminton, basketball, bocce, bowling, football, handball, judo, canoeing, track, bicycling, swimming, tennis and table tennis. A motivated team from the Donau-Iller workshops is also supporting them.
We wish the team of the Lebenshilfe Donau-Iller Werkstätten lots of success, fun and a sporting spirit for their participation in Hof!
